Our Attorneys

Mr. Dirkmaat is the founder of Dirkmaat Law PLLC. Mr. Dirkmaat received his Juris Doctorate from The George Washington University Law School and his MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management, where he specialized in finance. Mr. Dirkmaat received his B.A. from Brigham Young University, majoring in Chinese with a minor in Italian. Mr. Dirkmaat is licensed in New York, Arizona, and Utah. 

Mr. Dirkmaat has experience advising on large, multi-national securities offerings, fund formation and investment matters, as well as advising on reporting obligations and general corporate matters. Mr. Dirkmaat also has experience in representing companies in private and public securities offerings, financings, and corporate governance matters. 

In addition, Mr. Dirkmaat is a successful commercial litigator, having specialized in securities fraud and breach of contract matters. Prior to founding Dirkmaat Law PLLC, Mr. Dirkmaat worked for leading U.S. law firms both in the United States and abroad. Mr. Dirkmaat speaks Mandarin Chinese and Italian. 

Mr. Dirkmaat’s experience includes the following representative matters: 

• Advised Bank of Tianjin Co., Ltd on the USD 950 million international offering and the listing of its shares on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange*
• Represented a court-appointed receiver in commercial litigation resulting in approximately USD 600 million in recovered investor funds*
• Represented Allbound in connection with its USD 3.6 million Series A financing and other corporate governance matters*
• Represented the underwriters of Eco World International Bhd on its USD 489 million international offering and listing of its shares on the Bursa Malaysia*
• Advised Volta in connection with its USD 35 million Series C financing and other corporate governance matters*
• Advised the underwriters of AP Rentals Holdings Limited on its HKD 70 million international offering and listing of its shares on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange*
• Advised eVisit in connection with corporate governance matters*
• Advised a PRC water treatment company on its international offering and listing of its shares on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange*
• Advised the underwriters of one of the largest Hong Kong financial services companies on its international offering and listing of its shares on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange*
• Assisted Dragos in connection with its USD 37 million Series B financing and other corporate governance matters*
• Represented the underwriters of a Japanese sporting goods manufacturer on its international offering and listing of its shares on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange*
• Advised NuPulseCV in connection with its private equity offering and other corporate governance matters*
